Zanot wins a massive $6.4 million Pai Gow jackpot at Flamingo Las Vegas

A poker player in Las Vegas just won one of the largest jackpots ever. Thomas Evans Zanot recently registered a Pai gow jackpot worth $6.4 million at Flamingo Las Vegas. Many players estimate that this could be the largest jackpot of 2023, despite being won in the first month of the year.

One lucky gambler at Harrah’s in October took home a $3.5 million payout after playing Pai Gow. The venue is similar to Flamingo.

The poker jackpot of $6.4 million was difficult to win since it required a player to hit a seven-card straight flush after placing a wager on a side bet. Any player who has been involved in a five-card straight flush is aware of the amount of difficulty.

After around 11 hours of play, Zanot shared on Twitter that he had lost $375. Before he received the fortunate hand of 8, 9, 10, J, Q, and A, he exchanged between 300 and 400 hands. In Pai Gow, the Joker card is counted as a substitute for the King, so the collection was able to complete the task and establish the requisite set.

It was difficult to progress from where he began. The initial set of cards consisted of an A, an 8, and a 9, followed by four additional cards that marked a turning point in his evening. Unless someone else smashes the record, a check for $6,443,401 is currently considered one of the largest payments of 2023.

He is mostly known for playing low- to mid-stakes events. There is speculation that he could upgrade his game after winning the Pai Gow jackpot. Zanot has over $1.1 million in live tournament cash.

Zanot’s most recent tournament cash was in December 2022, when he placed 33rd on the money list. He earned $99,600 during the WPT World Championship held at Wynn Las Vegas. Zanot prevailed in a championship tournament with a buy-in of $10,400 and 2,960 participants. His record at the Series includes 10 cashes, the majority of which were for small amounts.

According to reports, Zanot has won 60 bracelet events. Additionally, he has 12 wins in Circuit ring tournaments to his credit, although no bracelet has yet to be seen.

Flamingo announced the winner, Zanot, on Twitter, saying that the #HeartofTheStrip just won 6 million times more fab. Flamingo also congratulated him on winning the jackpot. The tweet was published along with a photograph showing him carrying the check for the winning amount.

Pai Gow is a popular casino table game. After one draw, the seven players at that table must construct a 2-card low hand, followed by a 5-card high hand. Both must be at the highest level feasible.

Flamingo Las Vegas previously saw Brent Weiss take home a check for $465,945 in November 2022.
