WSOP champ Daniel Weinman joins Poker Royalty

The winner of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event with the largest field, Daniel Weinman, has signed on to serve as Poker Royalty’s new ambassador. The renowned poker marketing company, established in 2003, counts Daniel Negreanu, Antonio Esfandiari, and Phil Hellmuth among its clients.

Poker Royalty praised Weinman for his impressive victory in the Main Event and his impact on online poker. He was honored with PokerStars’ highly esteemed “Supernova Elite” title. His novel version of 2-7 lowball, known as ‘Duckflush,’ and the popular game mode ‘Fantasyland’ in Chinese Poker are attributed to him.

After winning the Main Event of the 2023 World Series of Poker, Joe Weinman became part of an elite group with names like Doyle Brunson, Phil Hellmuth, and Scotty Nguyen. This puts him among some of the greatest poker players in history.

After his groundbreaking Main Event wins, Mike Weinman has made a return to the poker scene with this collaboration with Poker Royalty. He spoke of his past couple of years, mentioning that playing poker full-time was strenuous for him, so he shifted away from it. He expressed excitement in seeing what kind of balance between work and poker will be achieved going forward, adding that he won’t be quitting any time soon.

After fifteen years without any major wins, Weinman’s success at the Main Event was completely unexpected. He very nearly chose not to participate in the event and had already gone home partway through the summer season when he finally decided to enter it with encouragement from his friends and family.

Weinman’s victory brought in a career-high $12.1 million, a remarkable turnaround in his poker fortunes that rekindled his enthusiasm for the Main Event that had once seemed intimidating.
