PokerGO’s StormX Charity Invitational in Las Vegas will include several high-profile players, including NBA superstar Paul Pierce.

This event is StormX’s first tournament with PokerGo as a co-sponsor for the StormX Charity Invitational. On March 3, the PokerGo Studio in Las Vegas will open its doors to a star-studded field of competitors. Landon Cassill, Paul Pierce, and Michael Carter-Williams, three of the best basketball players globally, are all expected to attend. Tom Dwan and Maria Ho are among the celebrities, crypto influencers, and poker players who will join them at the event.

There will be an alternative rebuy option for an extra $5,000 for those invited to participate in the game. An estimated $500,000 in prize money is expected, with a percentage of that money going to local Miami organizations, including ones that promote crypto literacy.

Fans of Poker will be able to see the event on StormX and YouTube, which should provide some light amusement. The tournament’s influence on poker and crypto communities is more substantial.

Since Phil Ivey supported Virtue Poker’s 2021 debut, a cryptocurrency gaming site, cryptocurrencies and the technology that go along with them have been making inroads into the poker scene. Resorts World Las Vegas, on the other hand, signed a partnership with Gemini last year to allow tourists to make non-gambling purchases using crypto tokens. Before PokerGo’s partnership with StormX, Triton partnered with Kraken in October to join the party.
