Netflix has decided to organize a golf tournament in preparation for the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix. The Netflix Cup will feature Formula 1 drivers competing against PGA superstars in a round of 18-hole golf at the Wynn Golf Club against PGA stars. The ceremony is scheduled for November 14, 2023. This will be the first time Netflix has broadcast a live sporting event.
The golf tournament will have four teams, each consisting of one Formula 1 driver and one seasoned PGA player, competing in an eight-hole round. As per a statement released to the press, in the case of the Formula 1 racers, there will be Pierre Gasly, Lando Norris, Alex Albon, and Carlos Sainz. Some of these players have played a role in the Netflix series Formula 1: Drive to Survive and Full Swing. There are still a few names to be released.
