It happened to have been the night of all nights and the party of all parties at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open (RRPO). It also happened to have continued non-stop for an entire period of twenty-four hours. The venue for this magnanimous event was the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, which is situated in Hollywood, Florida. This party that was organized for all of the connected players also witnessed them gaining monetarily from the $3,500 main event.
According to estimates out in the public domain, there was a crowd of 1,541 prospective entry forms that were filled, and thus just that many participants were in the game and from every corner of the globe. There inevitably had to be the high moments wherein one of the many competitors, going by the name of Kurt Jewell, happened to have topped the list with $1.96 million, all by himself. He was, incidentally, from Kentucky. Proper justice was done in terms of this grand event by enabling it to be duly covered by PokerNews, which had its representatives positioned on-site and throughout the period.
On the night of Saturday, however, doors were opened for all of the players to gather and participate in the organized “Player Party,” which was held at the L Bar. This was another extravagant gathering and an opportunity for all of the involved players to have healthy interactions with one another. The actual highlighting feature for all of them turned out to be the fact that it was none other than Matt Savage, who happens to be the WPT Executive Tour Director, who was there to greet them and begin the ceremonies.
